This notice, provided pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), describes how the personal data of visitors and users of www.2hmachinery.com (the “Website”) is processed. It applies to this Website only and does not cover third-party websites that may be reached through links.

Data we process

  • Data provided voluntarily through the contact forms: full name, company, phone number, email address and the content of your message. Providing the data marked as required is necessary to handle your enquiry; without it, we cannot reply.
  • Browsing data: the IT systems operating the Website acquire, during normal operation, certain technical data whose transmission is implicit in Internet protocols (e.g. IP addresses, time of request, browser used). This data is used solely to ensure the proper functioning and security of the Website.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to enquiries: data submitted through the forms is processed to answer requests about buying or selling machine tools and to manage any resulting negotiation. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject’s request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Commercial communications: only with your express consent, the contact details you provide may be used to send you updates about available machines and our services. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR).
  • Website security and operation: browsing data is processed to ensure security and prevent abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
  • Legal obligations: administrative, accounting and tax obligations connected with any contracts. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).

Processing methods and recipients

Data is processed by electronic means, with security measures appropriate to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. We never sell or rent personal data to third parties. Data may be accessed only by: authorised staff of the Controller; providers of technical services necessary for the operation of the Website (in particular the hosting provider), acting as data processors under Art. 28 GDPR; consultants and professionals within the limits of the purposes listed above.

Transfers outside the EU

Data is processed within the European Union. The Website does not use third-party analytics services, and web fonts (Google Fonts) are hosted locally on the Website’s own server, with no connection to external servers. Should a transfer to third countries become necessary in the future, it will take place only subject to the safeguards provided for by Art. 44 et seq. GDPR (adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses).

Data retention

Data collected through the contact forms is kept for the time needed to handle the enquiry and, at most, for 24 months after the last contact, unless the enquiry results in a contractual relationship, in which case the retention periods required by law apply. Data processed on the basis of consent is kept until consent is withdrawn.
